I have the link to my privacy policy

Optional. If you paste the direct link, we read that page instead of looking for it, so the check is more exact.

By scanning, you confirm that you own this website or are authorized to test it, and you agree to our Terms.

What to account for

  1. Review the cookies on your actual site

Wix’s published cookie list is not exhaustive. Installed apps and business solutions can add cookies, so build your inventory from the site and its integrations.

  2. Configure the current banner

Wix now offers Usercentrics for Wix for new banner setups; existing Wix cookie banners can continue working. Configure categories, policy links and visibility for the banner your site uses.

  3. Keep the consent record in scope

Wix’s consent log records visitor choices by category. It may not cover every third-party app or custom-code interaction; review those integrations separately.

Common mistakes to check

  1. Testing only in the editor

The Usercentrics banner appears on the published site, not the editor preview. Test a published page with a fresh browser session.

  2. Copying the platform’s cookie list unchanged

A generic Wix cookie list does not describe every app combination. Compare names and domains with your own observations and review the purpose of additional cookies.

Your review checklist

Our suggested review process. The linked requirements above explain the platform or legal basis.

  1. Inventory your Wix features

Scan public pages, then list bookings, store features, forms, analytics and apps. Confirm the recipients and retention periods for data collected through each feature.

  2. Connect the policy and banner

Review the generated draft and add its published URL to your footer and banner. Keep purposes and category names consistent between the documents and visitor controls.

  3. Check refusal and acceptance

Use separate fresh visits to test both choices. Inspect cookies, requests and consent records; fix any custom integration that runs against the visitor’s selection.

Example

  1. A booking site with a newsletter

A fictional trainer uses Wix bookings, a contact form and a newsletter app. The owner confirms where booking and subscriber data go, then reviews the observed cookies.

  2. One consistent visitor experience

The trainer publishes the reviewed policy and connects it to the banner. A fresh-browser test checks whether analytics and newsletter integrations follow the selected choices.

Questions before publishing

  1. Do I have to replace an existing Wix banner?

Wix says existing Wix cookie banners continue to work. New setups use Usercentrics for Wix; check which system your site currently has.

  2. Can I export consent records?

Wix provides a consent log export in its privacy tools. Check its scope against any third-party integrations you use.

  3. Will adding an app change my cookie inventory?

Yes. Apps and business solutions can introduce additional cookies, so review the inventory after changes.
